Why does it need access to my Library folder?

Crufti is sandboxed by the Mac App Store, so it can't read your files until you allow it. The first time you scan, it asks once — through the standard macOS file picker — for permission to read your ~/Library folder. That access is the whole reason it can find leftovers, and it is used for nothing else. Nothing ever leaves your Mac.

Can I undo a deletion?

Yes — files move to Trash, so you can restore them anytime. Crufti also saves a deletion manifest locally so you have a record of exactly what was removed and when.

What is the Orphan Scanner?

It checks ~/Library for leftover files that don't belong to any currently installed app. Useful if you've been deleting apps without cleaning up for a while.
